Lebenslauf

Lars Sommer studierte von 2008 bis 2014 Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie. Seine Masterarbeit mit dem Thema „Monitoring Internal Parameters of Lithium-Ion Cells by Fiber Optic Sensors“ fertigte er am Palo Alto Research Center, a Xerox Company in Palo Alto, CA, USA an. Seit Ende 2014 arbeitet Herr Sommer als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Interaktive Echtzeitsysteme (IES). Derzeit beschäftigt sich Herr Sommer mit Methoden zur Klassifikation von Objekten in Videodaten von unbemannten Luftfahrzeugen sowie maschinellen Lernverfahren. Seine Arbeiten finden dabei in enger Kooperation mit der Abteilung Videoauswertesysteme (VID) des Fraunhofer IOSB statt.
