Mickael Cormier received his bachelor degree in computer science at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences from 2012 to 2016 and completed his master degree in computer Science from 2016 to 2019 at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). He wrote his master's thesis in cooperation with Fraunhofer IOSB on the topic "Multitask CNNs for Face Super-Resolution and Face Expression Recognition in the Wild".
Mr. Cormier has been working as a research assistant at the Vision and Fusion Laboratory (IES) since 2020. In close cooperation with the Fraunhofer IOSB's Video Exploitation Systems (VID) department, Mr. Cormier is researching new technologies for activity recognition in videos, 3D human pose estimation in group of several people, continual learning and face expression recognition.
