Lebenslauf

Frank Döhner studied physics at the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen from 2016 until 2022. For his bachelor thesis he researched methods regarding the adaptation of neural networks for improved recognition and segmentation of platelets in phase contrast images.

Building upon this, he implemented deep learning neural networks for automated measurements in scanning ion conductance microscopy for his master thesis. Since may 2023 he has been working towards his PhD at the Vision and Fusion Laboratory (IES).

As a part of the DFG AI Research Unit 5339 he researches AI-methods for the initiation and optimal parametrization for the deployment of extra sensors and actuators. Additionally he works as a system engineer and acts as a contact person for the DFG research unit’s process demonstrator.
